Man auctions ad space on forehead
Andrew Fischer, from Omaha, Nebraska, said he would have a non-permanent logo or brand name tattooed on his head for 30 days. The winner will be able to send a tattoo or have him go to a tattoo parlour and get a temporary ink tattoo on his forehead. And this will be something they choose, a company name or domain name, perhaps their logo. He wouldn't promote anything socially unacceptable such as adult websites or stores. He would use the money to pay college fees
Students put university on eBay
Students at Exeter University put the institution up for sale on internet auction site eBay as part of their protest against proposed cuts. The university wants to end degrees in music, chemistry and Italian.
'Virgin Mary' toast fetches $28,000
A decade-old toasted cheese sandwich said to bear an image of the Virgin Mary has sold on the eBay auction website for $28,000. Mrs Duyser says she noticed the image burned into her sandwich as she was about to tuck into it in autumn 1994.
Elvis 'drinking water' makes $455
Water that was said to have been left in a cup Elvis Presley once drank from has been sold on internet auction site eBay for $455 (£237). The few tablespoons came from a plastic cup Presley sipped at a concert in North Carolina in 1977 - which was kept by fan Wade Jones, who was then 13. He saw Presley drink from it and a guard gave it to him as a souvenir.
A Coventry University student has made the sale of the century on the internet - he got £1.20p for a single cornflake.
